Our classrooms offer a multi-age experience for children ages\u00a0 2 1\/2-5 years.<\/p>\n<p>The whole child is nurtured by integrating activities into their daily routines that focus on the areas of language, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. These learning experiences are intended to meet your child\u2019s individual developmental stage. We achieve this by maintaining a positive atmosphere where children are free to explore and interact with other children, adults, and their environment.<\/p>\n<p>Our comprehensive preschool programming is designed to serve all children seeking preschool and\/or child care services including those with learning, behavioral or health challenges.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">DUAL LANGUAGE CLASSROOM &#8211; Preschool 1<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>For the 25-26 academic year, we are excited to announce our new Dual Language Classroom is back for the 4th year. This classroom was established to include any bilingual students (Spanish) who need additional instruction in both languages.\u00a0 This classroom also offers the opportunity for non-Spanish speaking students to start to learn a new language. This classroom will be instructed mostly in English and Spanish as needed for students. Teacher Emerita Rodarte will lead this classroom<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">PRESCHOOL CLASSROOM &#8211; Preschool 2<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>For the 25-26 academic year, we are excited to have Teacher Polly Ward continue as our Lead Teacher in the Preschool 2 classroom.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">YOUNG PRESCHOOL CLASSROOM &#8211; Preschool 3<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>For the 25-26 academic year, we are excited to continue our Young Preschool Classroom for ages 2 1\/2 to 5 years old.\u00a0 This classroom offers a toilet-training partnership with parents to assist the student.\u00a0 Teacher Jim Quest will lead this classroom. This program will be a joyful play based\u00a0 program where children receive responsive care giving from their Teachers. There will be a rich curriculum, absence of screen time, and predictable routines.\u00a0 Our family style meals include breakfast, lunch and snack. Each day our lesson plans will include: gathering time, singing, music, reading, movement, open exploration, outdoor play and rest time. This will be a safe, caring and thoughtful program for your child to attend.\r\n\r\nWe will begin accepting Enrollment Request Forms online through our website on\u00a0Friday June 8, 2018. This program will have the same selection criteria as our preschool program. Enrollment is first come first served giving primary priority to WOU students, secondary to WOU Employees and if there are still openings we will move to opening this service to surrounding community members. Our program offers them enriched learning opportunities,\u00a0new challenges, friendships, and increasing responsibilities in a fun environment.\r\n\r\n<span>Our curriculum integrates creative play and project-based programing along with homework assistance and a healthy snack.
