University Housing Accommodations<\/h1>\n

University Housing accommodations are processed through Disability Access Services (DAS). To request accommodations, apply to both, <\/span>University Housing<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>DAS<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

University Housing accommodations are based on individual disability-related need(s). Placement in University Housing is dependent on your Housing application date and the availability of rooms that meet your specific need(s). Admission into University Housing is separate from your accommodation request, you will need to work with Housing to reserve your space.<\/span><\/p>\n

To Request University Housing Accommodations<\/span><\/h2>\n

1 \u2013 Apply for University Housing at <\/span>Applications \u2013 Housing and Dining<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

2 \u2013 Register for accommodations at <\/span>Apply \u2013 Disability Access Services<\/span><\/a> and provide documentation of your disability\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u2013 If your existing documentation does not address your disability-related needs in University Housing, you may have your provider* complete the <\/span>DAS Housing Documentation Form<\/span><\/a>, or they may address the questions listed in the form in a formal letter on professional letterhead.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u2013 If you are requesting an <\/span>Emotional Support Animal (ESA)<\/b> in University housing, please have your provider* complete our <\/span>ESA FORM<\/span><\/a>, or they may address the questions included in the form in a formal letter on professional letterhead.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 \u2013 DAS may contact you to schedule an appointment to better understand your individual disability-related accommodation needs in University housing.<\/span><\/p>\n

5 \u2013 If accommodations are approved, Disability Access Services will make the recommendation for the accommodation(s) to University Housing.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0*A Qualified Licensed Professional must have expertise in the disability diagnosis and follow established best practices in the field.<\/span><\/p>\n

          University Housing Accommodations<\/span><\/h3>\r\nUniversity housing accommodations are processed through the Office of Disability Services (ODS) at ÀÖ²¥ÊÓƵ (WOU). If you are requesting disability accommodations for University Housing, you must be registered with ODS and provide documentation for review that supports your request.<\/span>\r\n\r\n \r\n

                  • Once ODS receives the completed AIM application and supporting documentation, ODS will reach out to you to schedule an appointment to be sure fully understand your individual disability related accommodation needs in campus housing.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
                  • If accommodations are approved, the Office of Disability Services will make the recommendation for accommodation to University Housing.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nHousing accommodations are based on the disability-related need and room availability, accommodations are not for a specific residence hall.
