Step 1 – Admission to ÀÖ²¥ÊÓƵ<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Once you have been admitted to ÀÖ²¥ÊÓƵ and received your student ID (V-number), please:<\/span><\/p>\n

  Step 2 – Documentation Guidelines<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

  Documentation and\/or a meeting with DAS staff may be required to determine eligibility for accommodations.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Important:<\/b> Documentation requirements vary depending on the type of accommodation requested.<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Housing accommodations:<\/b> Please review the housing accommodations webpage for specific guidelines and requirements. University Housing\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Academic accommodations (online or in-person):<\/b> Choose one of the following options:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Option 1:<\/b> Submit documentation such as an IEP, 504 Plan, or a letter on official letterhead from a <\/span>qualified licensed provider<\/span><\/i> who specializes in your disability. The documentation must include:<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
      • A specific diagnosis<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Functional limitations in an academic setting<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Recommended accommodations to reduce those limitations<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Option 2:<\/b> Have your <\/span>qualified licensed professional<\/span><\/i> complete the Disability Verification Form (be sure to provide them with your V-number).<\/span><\/p>\n

        Note: A qualified licensed provider must have appropriate expertise in the diagnosed disability and follow established professional standards.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

        Step 3 – Application Review and Determination<\/strong><\/h3>\n

        Once your application and any required documentation are received:<\/span><\/p>\n

        • Your file will be reviewed by DAS staff<\/span><\/li>\n
        • You will be notified via your WOU email if additional information or a meeting is needed<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          If approved, you will be invited to schedule a <\/span>one-on-one Accommodations Orientation<\/b>, where you will learn how to activate and manage your accommodations using AIM each term.<\/span><\/p>\n
