MSU honors our deceased with ofrendas, or offerings, which may consist of photographs, bread, other foods, flowers, toys and other symbolic offerings.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wou.edu\/msu\/out-and-proud-2\/\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Out &amp; Proud<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">,<\/span> January 28, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>MSU is proud to present OUT &amp; PROUD! Join us for our annual Out &amp; Proud event! Celebrating People of Color in the LGBTQIA+ community. Come hear and learn about different communities, coming out stories, a Q&amp;A with the panel and learn about the many different life lenses that students and staff identify here in our WOU community<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wou.edu\/msu\/black-history-celebration\/\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\">African American Awareness Celebration<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">, February 18, 2026<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">With speakers, food, and festivities, MSU would like to invite all Faculty, Staff, and Students to our Black History Celebration Event! During the event, we will be spotlighting the contributions and sacrifices of African Americans who have helped shape the nation<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"sub_head_1\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wou.edu\/msu\/annual-programs\/women-of-culture-celebration\/\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Women of Culture Celebration<\/a><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #000000;\">March 4, 2026<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Women of Culture Celebration aims to honor and acknowledge the diversity within women in different communities. The purpose of this event is to bring awareness to our campus by providing workshops, keynote speakers and a variety of interactive activities involving different issues and aspects that affect women.\u00a0 This event is inclusive to both men and women in the pursuit of educating our campus on the importance of women\u2019s rights within different traditions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sub_head_1\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wou.edu\/msu\/annual-programs\/pow-wow\/\" style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: line-through;\">Pow-Wow<\/a><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #000000;\">April 18, 2026<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vendors, dancers, drummers and fry bread help make our annual MSU Pow-Wow a success. Our Pow-Wow includes a dance competition as well as a dinner. The dance competition is open to tiny tots, teens, men and women. The categories include fancy dancing, traditional dancing, grass dancing and jingle dancing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sub_head_1\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wou.edu\/msu\/annual-programs\/nuestra-fiesta-latina\/\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Nuestra Fiesta Latina<\/a><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #000000;\">May 15, 2026<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MSU invites everyone to Nuestra Fiesta Latina with activities for all ages, entertainment such as mariachi music, salsa and merengue dancing, traditional food and a &#8220;baile&#8221; to end the day.
