The Center for Professional Pathways offers a variety of ways for ÀÖ²¥ÊÓƵ alumni to share their knowledge and experience to help current students in their career decision-making. Whether it is a networking event, mentor-program, or career fair, alumni are often the most sought after professionals for current students to connect with.<\/p>\n If you are interested in opportunities like this, follow the WOU CPP page<\/a> on LinkedIn and keep an eye out for events posted on Handshake. We host a variety of opportunities for companies to recruit and advertise their openings to WOU students. SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE<\/h2>\r\nJoin the College of WOU SLCD Mentor Network group on LinkedIn. This group connects current students with alumni, graduate students, friends of WOU, and employers who are willing to exchange ideas, advice and knowledge about their education and career experiences. It is a forum to share career-related knowledge, information, referrals, and advice across industries and geographic locations. Alumni are encouraged to join this group and serve as a mentor to current WOU students.\r\n\r\nYour participation simply involves a willingness to share advice and information regarding careers, employers, geographic regions, and the job search process in general. You have complete control in choosing your level of involvement, such as contributing to questions posted for discussion, communicating with students\/alumni individually via LinkedIn messages or email, in-person\/phone informational interviews, providing an opportunity for shadowing at your place of business, providing referrals to business associates or professional associations, etc.\r\n\r\nNot familiar with LinkedIn?
