Performing a musical, \u201cOnce Upon A Dream,\u201d that incorporated music from other musicals, Hazlewood\u2019s senior recital included other actors and singers as well to put on an entertaining show about love and dreams. The recital included music from musicals such as \u201cInto the Woods,\u201d \u201cEnchanted,\u201d \u201cCinderella\u201d and more through six scenes that told the story of a young woman finding love. The musical was narrated by Eli Schenk and included vocal performances from Laura Killip, Cole Aldred and Scott Dickens.<\/p>\n<p>Yuzhou Huang performed seven pieces for his senior piano recital on May 18. The performance showcased<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wou.edu\/westernjournal\/files\/2017\/05\/SENIOR4-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"202\" height=\"304\" class=\"wp-image-6192 alignright\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wou.edu\/westernhowl\/files\/2017\/05\/SENIOR4-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/wou.edu\/westernhowl\/files\/2017\/05\/SENIOR4-768x1152.jpg 768w, https:\/\/wou.edu\/westernhowl\/files\/2017\/05\/SENIOR4-683x1024.jpg 683w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 202px) 100vw, 202px\" \/> Huang\u2019s piano ability with songs from Scarlatti, Beethoven, Chopin and more. Huang played music through close to a hundred years of classical composers, beginning with Scarletti and ending with Chopin. The performance ended with Huang thanking his parents, who couldn\u2019t make it to the recital due to their jobs in China, but it was recorded to send to them later on. Huang also took a moment to thank his professors before playing his final song.<\/p>\n<p>Emily Dalziel\u2019s senior recital took place on May 19. She performed pieces from five different composers on the piano. The composers ranged from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart\u2019s piece, written in 1777, to a work of Dmitri Shostakovich\u2019s, written in the early 20th century. Other composers performed include Frederick Chopin, Felix Mendelssohn and Claude Debussy.
