Incidental Fees

The WUC is operated with Incidental Fees, which are fees that every student pays each term as part of ÀÖ²¥ÊÓÆµâ€™s tuition and fees.

WUC Academic Year Operating Hours:

Monday through Friday: 7:30am to 8:00pm  |  Saturday: 11:00am to 3:00pm (Fall/Winter) 10:00am to 2:00pm (Spring)  |  Sunday: Closed

Makerspaces

Student Engagement is collecting input from current WOU students and Alumni about Makerspace themes in the WUC. Makerspaces are areas where students can be creative in different ways, build community, take a break and create a sense of belonging. These spaces can change each academic term or academic year and would have a take-home/mail-to-home component. There is no cost to WOU students to participate in these spaces.

Nontraditional Student Services

Who are Nontraditional Students?

According to the definition at WOU, our nontraditional students are students who are over the age of 25, returning to school after an extended break, and/or have children.

Services Offered in the WUC

Lockers

A limited number of lockers are available for nontraditional students to rent. The lockers are located in the Wolfpack Lounge and can be rented on a term-by-term basis. To rent a locker, visit the WUC Information Desk.

Emergency Locator

This service provides a system for family members to get in touch with a student during the school day in emergency situations. WOU students provide information about their current class schedule so children, child care providers, or family members can call and have a message delivered to the student in the classroom in case of emergency. If you are interested, fill out the . The form needs to be updated each term. A must for parents!

Campus Resources

There a variety of campus services and resources available to nontraditional students that can enable them to be more successful during their college career.

Counseling Services

The Counseling Center offers a variety of individual and group counseling services and activities to ensure a successful college experience for every student. Counseling sessions are free for WOU students. Students can book appointments by calling (503) 838-8313 or scheduling in-person with the front desk. Child Care Center

The Teaching Research Child Development Center is available for students with children ages 30 months to 5th grade. A portion of the incidental student fee each student pays is allocated to the Child Development Center to supplement care for the children of WOU students. The center is open from 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m, Monday through Friday, and is located at the northwest corner of Monmouth Avenue and Stadium Drive, right behind Campus Public Safety.
